Admissions Process

What Happens After ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥apping

Western New England University values our school counselor partners in helping students to navigate the application process. University admissions counselors, who are specifically dedicated to reviewing applications from your school, are here to answer any questions you may have. We have recently invested in new technologies to further streamline our processes to make applying to Western New England a great experience for your students, and those who support them like you!

Here is an overview of the Application process:

  • We are an Early Action and Rolling Admissions institution. We accept applications after August 1. Students applying by the November 15 Early Action deadline can expect to receive their admission decision in 2-3 weeks. We will begin to review Rolling Admissions applications after November 15, sending admissions decisions out on a rolling basis after that time.
  • Merit Scholarships are awarded with the offer of admission. To calculate which scholarship your student can qualify for, please visit the Merit Scholarship Calculator page.
  • We are a test-optional institution. Students who choose to apply test-optional make a binding decision regarding choosing not to submit their test scores at the time they submit their application.
  • Our Admissions counselors take a holistic approach to reviewing applications. Students are strongly encouraged to include all extra-curricular activities, special talents, and significant accomplishments in the application.
  • Fee waivers are accepted. School counselors may email the Admissions Office for a fee waiver if one is needed. A fee waiver can also be granted if a student has a family member who is an alum.
  • To learn more about our admissions requirements, please visit the Admissions Requirements page. If you are working with international students, please visit the International Admissions Requirements page.

School counselors are strongly encouraged to work with our admissions counselors throughout the application and matriculation process. For questions regarding our admissions standards for specific majors or to discuss the individual circumstances of a student, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at 413-782-1321 or learn@wne.edu to speak with the admissions counselor responsible for reviewing applications from your high school.
