The College of Arts and Sciences requires:
- 4 units English
- 1 unit laboratory science
- 2 units of mathematics equivalent to two of the following: algebra I, geometry, or algebra II
- 1 unit United States history
One unit of chemistry and one unit of biology are required for prospective majors in biology, chemistry, forensic biology, forensic chemistry, health sciences, health studies, secondary education-biology, secondary education-chemistry, pre-optometry, and pre-physician assistant.
Prospective majors in biology, secondary education-biology, health studies, neuroscience, and computer science are required to present 3 units of mathematics; a fourth year is recommended.
Prospective majors in chemistry, forensic biology, forensic chemistry, mathematics, actuarial science, secondary education-mathematics, elementary education-mathematics, secondary education-chemistry, health sciences, pre-optometry, and pre-physician assistant are required to present four units of mathematics. One unit must be the equivalent of a pre-calculus course. Students must arrive calculus-ready.
The College of Business requires:
- 4 units English
- 1 unit laboratory science
- 3 units of mathematics equivalent to algebra I, geometry, and algebra II
- 1 unit United States history
The College of Engineering requires:
- 4 units English
- 1 unit United States history
- 1 unit laboratory science and 1 unit physics or chemistry (preferably both)
- 4 units of mathematics equivalent to algebra I, geometry, algebra II, and an additional year beyond algebra II (such as pre-calculus) which includes trigonometry
