PharmD/MSPGx Dual Degree
Students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s in Pharmacogenomics degree program during their first year in the PharmD program (PY1), after January 1. Applications should be submitted by March 1, so as to have adequate time for academic advising and fall course selection.
MSPGx to PharmD Pathway
MSPGx students interested in earning both a master’s degree and a PharmD degree can complete both degrees within a 5-year period without having to complete pharmacy prerequisite coursework. Students will apply during their second semester in the MSPGx program.
PharmD DLP to in-person MSPGx Pathway
PharmD DLP students interested in earning both a PharmD degree and a master’s degree can complete both degrees within a 5-year period. The first 4 years will be within the distance pathway and the fifth, reduced-load year will be in person. Students will apply during their fourth year in the PharmD DLP program.
With a total of 13 transfer and 5 waived credits toward the MSPGx degree, PharmD DLP to in-person MSPGx Pathway students receive a significant tuition cost savings.
Undergraduate Students in Biology, Health Sciences, or Neuroscience
Students in good standing in these majors are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s in Pharmacogenomics degree program during their junior year after January 1.
